Question Learning How To Tow

Has anyone heard of a course that teaches how to tow a trailer?

Last week the wife of a friend mentioned that she and her husband had taken such a course while living in California several years ago.

Interestingly, one of the things that she learned that when making a turn it was better to turn after you had pulled safely into the intersection as far as possible, and then turn sharply - do not make a sweeping turn by swinging wide.

OK, most of us already know this, particularly the part about not swinging wide, but for me it was a bit of a revelation. Getting into the intersection and turning sharply works - the AS tracks perfectly.

I remember that when I rode a bike, I took a rider training course and it was probably a lifesaver, considering that I was riding a 700 lb. machine.

Does anyone know of a towing course that teaches how to tow a trailer?

Yes, I took such a class from Escapees--2 days of driving in Yuma, but the classes are offered at many metro sites. My husband stayed at the RV Park while I went off driving w/our 34'. Go to Escapees.com and there is a link about the driving class. (My driving class was awesome but I need to keep practicing my skills.) There is an Escapade in Sedalia, MO in May & will be a driving class preceding the Escapade.

I'm also in G-town! Are you in SC?
