Lamborghini Urus + Globetrotter 25FB ?

I am trying to make a determination whether a Lamborghini Urus would be able to safely tow a Globetrotter 25FB. The Lamborghini dealer says it will do fine, but the specs seem very close to the upper limits:

Urus: V8 turbo, 641HP, payload/1069 lb.
Globetrotter 25FB: GVWR 7300 lb., tongue weight 882 lb.

The Urus is built on the Volkswagen MLB Evo platform, which is shared with Audi Q7/8, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne, and VW Touareg.

The hitch and receiver are integrated and built into the car, replacing them with a weight distributing hitch would be very difficult and the dealer is positive that it would void the warranty.

If you tow this trailer with any of the above cars, I'd greatly appreciate your feedback, if you could please share your experiences.

Deepak, you would be fine with a 23’ Airstream. We had a VW Touareg TDI and a FC23FB - it was a great combination! I think the Lambo is definitely “over-qualified”. The number to watch is your payload. Our Touareg had a payload of 1168 lbs.

Andy at Can-Am modifies the hitches on Mercedes, Audi, VW and BWM’s to adequately support the extra tongue weight. We decided against it due to liability concerns but that’s up to you.

Hey, it seems everyone loves to put an Airstream in their ads - here’s one from Dodge with the Hellcat Durango. I think that Lambo would dispute their claim at being the fastest SUV towing. Note: That sure looks like a 25’ Airstream behind the Durango

You going alone with just a change of clothes?

The issue I see is that you will likely need some that payload for vehicle occupants, pets, groceries, and gear.

A 23, or 22/20/19 single axel would be a better match.

If you are determined to have something bigger than that, then look at vintage which were narrower and lighter.
