The guy who owned my 25' Globetrotter FBQ towed it with a Gladiator diesel. Not sure what tow package he had, but he bought the trailer in Oklahoma, went to the Grand Canyon and Moab, and then drove it home to Orlando. He also had his wife and two teenage kids.
I think with an almost 1k tongue weight he was most likely pushing things way beyond the safety line. But what do I know?

The important numbers are the GVWR of the Jeep and the Rear Axle Weight Rating. They are both listed on the driver’s door jamb. Do not exceed these numbers. You need to go to a CAT scale to get these numbers when you are all loaded up.

I never trusted...'about'.
The CAT weights are paramount, as noted payload is a moving target and it's easier to go by tire & axle load ratings.
Stay at least 3 to 4 hundred under and go camping.
POI....With our Burb we are 1000 under on the rear axle and 800 under on the front.

I say ‘about’ because it doesn’t matter and so there is no need to find the exact number. The 10,000 lb tow rating may have been 10,500 lbs and the 5,000 lb loaded Tradewind may have been 5,500 lbs. The point is that I am under the GVWR and the RAWR but not by much for a trailer that is considerably lighter than the TV’s tow rating. Yup those kayaks, solar panels and bed cap weight do add up.
You are quite fortunate to be way under your Burb’s ratings.

I tow my 2022 FC 23cb, about 6,000lbs loaded. Added a weight distribution hitch. it tows better than i expected, you will have no problem. The diesel gets 17.4mpg while towing (1,300 mile trip)

I would think that the 1300 lb payload capacity would be a real challenge after you subtract the actual tongue weight of the FC. Glad it works for you though.

I'll be towing a 16-foot Bambi once it's delivered in the spring with my current Jeep Gladiator High Altitude, Pentastar V6, factory towing package. It's not the max tow package, but should be plenty for our tiny traveler.

I have a 16' and had a Wrangler and a Nissan Frontier. You'll be fine towing in relatively flat areas. If you have to deal with any serious grades, the 3.6 in the Jeep is gutless. Just take your time and travel as light as possible. FWIW, I still have the Jeep-I love that thing-but traded the Frontier for a Titan. Towing issues are now a thing of the past

Update. We hooked out Caravel 22FB to our Gladiator with max tow package, using a weight distribution hitch, and kept the payload a few hundred pounds under. Drove 150 miles down to the ferry in New London, got on the ferry, then another 50 miles to our destination, Southampton. The only downside was the poor gas mileage. We had four humans and dog in the jeep and were still under payload. Never got above 3k rpm.

It's a 3.6L gas engine. Ordinarily it gets between 19 and 20 mpg. Towing the Caravel 22FB it goes down to 14 mpg on average.

Rubicon owner here with the 3.6. Those are actually good numbers. Of course, for the most part, the aerodynamic drag comes from that brick on wheels known as a jeep.
Enjoy streaming!

We don’t. The campers I felt comfortable towing with the Jeep were too small for us. I got a RAM 2500 Diesel. We’re moving up to a Globetrotter 30’.

I definitely think a 30-ft camper needs a full size truck. Out of curiousity, what was the largest camper you felt comfortable towing with the Rubicon?

Jeep gladiator for TV
We have a Caravel 16RB ordered that we plan to tow with a BMW X5. Tongue weight and payload will be close to the edge of ratings (even though more than comfortable in terms of 6000 lb. max towing weight). Got different opinions on these forums as to whether a good combo and whether WD hitch should be used. I contacted Can-Am and they reassured me the X5 will easily handle the 16 ft. Caravel and recommended specific WD hitch and brake controller. You can send your combo to them through this form and get their advice for free: https://www.canamrv.ca/towing-expertise/contact/

Can I ask what kind of hitch setup you have? How much of a drop did you need for the ball, if any? And what about your brake controller?
I'd like to stay away from hardwiring and have been on the hunt for a deal on the Curt bluetooth setup.

I really like that Jeep goes to the 4.10 final drive ratio with the max tow package. I wish GM did that with the Colorado and Canyon.
The Jeep V6 like the GM HFV6 loves high rpm and is designed for it, I believe yours has a bit flatter torque curve than the GM V6 in my Canyon which NA has a pronounced torque peak at 4,000 RPM.
Although a Supercharger is a popular and apparently reliable upgrade for GM V8 and V6 engines, I have seen reports of problems on the Jeep V6 after S/C installation, so do your research before going that route.
You should be fine with your 22FB so long as you are careful with payload.

I have a RAM 2500 diesel. We can argue all day about towing a 25' Globetrotter with a 1/2 ton truck with whatever tow package is offered, but I would not pull a 30' with anything less than a 3/4 ton.

I have a Fastway E2 weight distributing hitch.
