Fuse for power jack

I am told the fuse for the power jack is a 30 amp slow blow glass fuse. I cannot find one anywhere, including stores, Amazon, or any internet merchant. Is there such a fuse? I can find fast blow fuses in this category, but no slow blow.

They're available thru NAPA--usually not a stocked item, but can be at the store within a day. I'll get the part number next time I'm at the trailer. I suggest getting the five to a package; it was about $7.50.

If it was me, I would go by the automotive supply store and buy these. Not the slow blow, but will do the job.

edit:
Found these at NAPA, called time delayed, not slow blow.

Thanks for the information. The voltage rating seems to be 32 volt. Is this correct or do I need one rated for 240 volt?

My local NAPA stocks them. They are made by Balkamp, Inc. packaged for NAPA. I have a pack in my hand as I type this.

If you have a Barker Jack, call them they'd be glad to send some. NAPA has them, although my 2X5 packs were next day. Seems it cost me about $7 per pack...kinda doesn't matter tho.

other sources are in this thread...as well as a discussion re conversion to the blade type which are easier to find.

and

they may look different than the OEM's

No, the jack runs off of 12 Volts DC so the 32 Volt fuse rating is fine.

To echo Bob's earlier link to a specific post, this thread has lots of leads:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f44/...se-151073.html

including details about some NAPA clerks not finding the slow-blow fuse in stock on first try.

My jack is still blowing fuses.
I believe it is blowing fuses because the jack post and housing is bent.
The trailer is at an RV repair shop now.
If they can't bend it back straight I will get a new jack.
It never blew fuses before I bent it.
It got bent trying to jack up the truck and trailer stuck in the muddy yard.
It is not designed to lift that much weight.
The weight of the truck and trailer kept rolling against the jack post as it sank into the ground.
There is a 4" piece of concrete and a 6x6 block of wood completely buried in the ground from that incident of slick, slimy, soft, squishy Mississippi Delta mud.

I don't like self resetting fuzes, as blowing fuze and auto reset could cause further damage to item connected to.

Just being technical, but MDL fuses are not rated for DC, only AC. MDA fuses are rated for both AC and DC.

The original Super Jack by H & H Engineering a division of Barker was a glass slow blow marked 30 AMP 250 VAC.
I couldn't find them anywhere.
I bought a pack of 30 AMP 32 VAC at Advance Auto. The fuses blew.
I called Barker.
They sent me 3 of the original 30 AMP 250 VAC fuses, which also blew.
The problem with my jack is the bent jack post putting it in a bind.
Get the post straightened out or getting a new jack will probably end the blowing fuses.
The trailer is at an RV repair shop now.
In the future I don't really think it will matter if I get the 30 AMP 250 VAC fuses from Barker or the 30 AMP 32 VAC fuses from an auto parts house. I guess the 30 AMP and slow blow are the main features.
