Just bought a new F150 ecoboost with trailer package. Do I need a WD hitch to pull my sport 22fb. I have a blue ox from my former TV. Thanks for any input. Blake
Welcome! And yes, please use your BlueOx for your truck/airstream combo. You have a good hitch there that does weight distribution and sway control, why risk not having it?
Please navigate to the towing and hitch Forums here and spend some time reading. Lots of great info about combos just like yours.
You may not need a lot of weight redistribution depending on truck options, etc. but the Blue Ox will certainly help with sway control.

Do you know what a learning experience is? A learning experience is one of those things that says "You know that thing that you just did? Don't do that."
I believe Ford recommends weight distribution for tongue weights over 500 lbs (at least on my 2014), so you probably don't NEED weight distribution. Sway control is never a bad thing.
Several others have a much better technical background regarding hitches, but I too have a Ford F-150 and a BlueOx hitch and it works very very nicely with our (19' Bambi) Airstream. There are several different BlueOx models based on the weight/tension of the connecting bars so that might be a consideration.
