Ford Expedition Liftgate

Hello,

I'm just wondering if the liftgate on a Ford Expedition can be fully opened when hooked up to an Airstream?

I can't find any pictures/video anywhere!

Thanks!

Paul

I have a "19" Max. I can use lift gate, but it is close, all depends on jack head, I have mine rotated 90 degrees. Also length of hitch and position of TV to A$. There is about 2 inch clearance on mine in ideal hook up.

Probably depends on the hitch and the length it has. I have an 18 Navigator and the liftgate will not open. It's close, but it will not clear.

I have a 2019 Expedition, pulling a 2017 19-footer.

I can use the lift gate.

There are a few inches to spare.

I've never had it touch the jack.

I also have a 2019 Expedition and a 2014 FC 25'. The lift gate opens just fine. You would have to watch it if the trailer and Exp were not straight. I'm not saying perfectly straight, but a significant bend. And that's going to be true of any vehicle no doubt.

I should add that I ave the stinger set as close as possible to the vehicle. So that is worst case and it still works.
