Reason I am asking is I am somewhat optimistic that the 6.7 diesel with 34 gallon tank will be at least that MPG or more resulting in no less range than my current F150.

Sure. My 2021 F-250 gets,
- 18-19 mpg unloaded running in the 65-75 mph range
- 13-15 towing depending on which trailer I am pulling
These number are actual i.e. doing the math at fill ups. Although I have adjusted the Lie-O-Meter to be very close.
As a comparison, my 2018 F-150 (5.0 V8, 10 speed) got 8-9 mpg when pulling my 4000# boat. I am still putting a 40 gal aux tank in the F-250. That will give me 79 total gallons.
As a side note, my 2018 F-150 transmission crapped out on me twice. Left me stranded on the side of I-10. A dealer took it on trade since it was still under warranty. I was at that dealership yesterday and they told me they sold the F-150 at auction.
Wow! Either they could not fix it or could not get a transmission.
