F150 tow mirrors

Awaiting delivery of our new Airstream Int. 25. In the meantime just purchased new 2020 F150 Lariat with max tow, ECO boost, etc but with standard mirrors. They have BLIS , power folding, and have the puddle lights. So I have 2 questions:
1. My Ford dealer wants $1500 PER MIRROR!! to change these out to tow mirrors that will work with all of the above options. Has anyone out there replaced these with the aftermarket tow mirrors that are out there in lieu of the factory OEM s ?? And if so, how did they work?
2. Has anyone tried towing with just the standard(non tow) factory mirrors in conjunction with the cameras on the new airstream trailers?

Thanks in advance for the responses.

not answering your exact questions but...I too have a F-150 with the tow package but without the "tow" mirrors (I know go figure!!) There were threads on the Ford Forum about replacing the mirrors with aftermarket ones and the comments were generally positive, but I haven't done so myself.
What I did do was get a set of CIPA 11550 (Amazon) mirrors that work well - they slip on over the current mirrors and give me good lane vision and a long rear view too...with only a bit of a blind spot immediately behind the trailer. I would prefer the real thing but for the asking price these are more than fine.

Recommend boostautoparts

I recently ordered and installed tow mirrors for my 2018 F150 Lariat from https://boostautoparts.com/collectio...50-tow-mirrors

Very easy web site to navigate plus I was able to speak with a real and knowledgable person on the phone.
Mirrors came in about 4 days.
Options included:
- BLIS, running lights, power fold, power glass adjust, heated top and lower glass etc.
- They are power fold but manual extension

My total cost including shipping was $980.85.

- the install was very easy and took me less than 1 hour total and everything worked plug and play (they have a nice youtube to follow)

I just did tow mirrors on a Tundra. YouTube has videos making installation a snap. I was happy with Trail Ridge mirrors and they come equipped for any function you need. (and more)

link to mirrors with power fold and puddle lights. Check more for your year.
$635.
Power fold really adds to the cost. Mine were manual fold for $265.

Sadly been there.

I ended up paying the dealer to install the mirrors (since I'm frankly not that handy or comfortable tearing into such things) with no regrets except for the sting of the price tag.

I have the Platinum config on my F150 and didn't like the idea of loosing the power options if I messed up the mirror install. Down here you fold them in when parked or risk having them forcefully removed...

I can see both the sides and wheels at the same time on the trailer, and best of all backing up the truck with the lower mirrors correctly angled is a breeze.

I won't buy another truck without them.
