F150 aluminum body- no paint?

Just curious- has anyone thought about ordering it without paint? Would be cool to polish/clear coat, even install rivet heads to make a better match for the A/S.

I kinda doubt that Ford would go along with it though

In Mercedes Benz history they had to do that to a car to comply with a race weight. The car was a few kilo's over so they ground the paint off the aluminum body. That's why MB race cars are all silver even to this day. So go for it. It's your truck

Sounds like an interesting AS public relations project. But the neatest aluminum vehicle I've seen was a Webster sports racer. It had a polished aluminum body, aluminum engine, and aluminum transaxle. Seemed like the perfect idea, but from what I understand it was never competitive. The fibreglass development stole the show in the CanAm series. But if you can manage to get Ford to do a polished body, there might be a whole gaggle of interesting tows out there. Maybe an aluminum sail plane, an aluminum boat, and for sure, an aluminum trailer. Pat
