Different TV question

Different type question that probably has been answered. Is there a source or article explaining the different drive trains for a pull behind vehicle. I have a 2000 Land Yacht and a car dolly and a tow bar. Not sure what is the easiest to pull and what vehicles will tow with all wheels in use. I’m sure a straight transmission is easer but harder to find. Thanks for the advice.

This months issue of FMCA's magazine has a directory of current model vehicles suitable for pulling. There are also other sources out there like this.

There are actually a few current models with automatic transmissions which can be flat towed, but a common type of vehicle to pull behind is an manual transmission Jeep or pickup with 4WD. The transfer case can often be put in neutral and make flat towing possible.

Hi

There are horror stories about folks finding out that all the models of this or that can be flat towed *except* the one they ordered in. The individual manufacturer's data is the only thing to go by. Unfortunately using that involves a *lot* of digging.
