BMW x-5 2012 towing mirror

I have just purchased a new 2012 X5 BMW and plan to haul our 19' airstream. Does anyone out there have any ideas of what type of towing mirror I should have. I need something temporary..that I would just use while pulling the trailer. Jim@guarantee.com thanks

I found that the McKesh are great. Used them on 2000 jeep Grand Cherokee (narrow) with a wide body A/S.

We've used McKesh mirrors for years and agree with Road Ruler and Jimmickle.

BMW have towing mirrors for the X5. Check out RealOEM to find the part number or check with your BMW dealership.

One more recommendation for McKesh. Not as pretty as the BMW factory clip-ons, but a great field of view, quick to get on and off, and have held up well over the years.

Aero 2 Towing mirrors

You might want to take a look at the Milenco Aero 2 towing mirrors. I have used these mirrors for over a year now and like them very much. I didn't care for the straps on the McKesh mirrors. The stability of the Aero 2's will depend on the stability of your OEM mirrors. Mine work out very well. These mirrors are made in England and are very high quality. Easy on and off as well. Search Milenco Aero 2 mirrors on You Tube and you will see a British review--the reviewer is towing an Airstream!

Have fun with your new setup!

If you don't want to spend a lot, these work pretty good for a 8' wide trailer. Clip-On Tow Mirror - Intersource Enterprises D10-116 - Mirrors - Camping World
