AS to be parked 'hitch first', parking pad
We need to park our 23' AS on a new concrete parking pad we are having constructed. The trailer door, otherwise, would be too close to the property line (a fence) denying access. To complicate matters, our street is quite sloped, and the space where the concrete pad will be is also sloped, so the concrete pad, off the street, will be elevated in relation to the surrounding earth. If I can maneuver the trailer close to the mouth of the parking pad, I think a 'trailer valet' or something similar could be used to manipulate the trailer into position. I assume the posterior aspect of parking pad must be at least 24 or 25' from the mouth of the driveway, otherwise I'll run out of room with the trailer valet. I have never used a trailer valet and we are new to AS'ing. We have no other place to park the AS. A 24' concrete pad is already pushing it in terms of the space it will usurp. Any thoughts on how much 'wiggle room' in front one needs with a trailer valet? The concrete pad will be about 18' feet wide. Thank you in advance!
