Air Soft w/Equalizer

Is anyone using the Air Soft hitch in combination with an Equalizer hitch and weight distribution system? If so, what are your experiences? I keep reading about a soft ride being best for the life of the Airstream, and don't want to end up shaking the trailer to pieces. We tow with a F250 4wd, air bags (for the PU Camper) that are usually set around 20 PSI when towing the AS, and the Equalizer 10000 hitch.

We use theAirSafe with a Reese Dual Cam system.


Obviously, weight distribution is a minor factor with a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. These trucks have plenty of capacity to tow any Airstream.

The concern is a soft ride for the trailer. I tension the WD system enough to provide a good anti-sway action from the cams and call it good.

30k plus miles and we are happy. No popped rivets, door still shuts easy on our front bed unit and no sway or "bow wave" reaction.

The Air Soft made a noticeable improvement in our towing.
