2019 Ford Raptor as tow vehicle

We just purchased this TV to tow our 1858 Flying Cloud 22 ft. Anyone have one and any suggestions for its best use?
Thank you

Congrats on your tv purchase. Awesome truck, I'm sure you'll love it. I have about 18k miles on my 2018 SuperCab. With regard to towing however, the truck is limited. The Super Crew has a tow capacity of 8,000 lb, while the SuperCab is 6,000. While your trailer weight and tongue or hitch weight certainly aren't a problem for either truck, the limiting factor is the payload. The payload on my 2018 is 700-some lb. Which means after a hitch weight of 450 lb, I have a whopping 350 lb left for people, dogs, grills, generator etc... That's a payload concern, without a trailer!

You'll want to check the yellow sticker on your driver door and get the payload. If you have the Super Crew, that number maybe closer to 900 or 1,000 lb., hopefully.

While you can add airbags or change leaf springs, too stiffen up the "baja rear-end" that doesn't change your payload number. Do you know what your loaded tongue weight is?

Looks like your 58 has a manufacturers weight of 2,730 lb, and a tongue weight of 265. S0 figure loaded, its maybe 300-325. If for example your truck payload is 1,000 lbs., you'd have roughly 700 leftover for people and gear.

Enjoy the truck, I haven't had a single issue with mine.

Door sticker is the key here, as mentioned before. Unlikely you will have issues.

Post pics of truck and trailer, I am sure it is a less common combo and I for one would like to see it!

Yes - pictures please! I have seen Raptors, but have never seen a 1858 Airstream! Was that the covered wagon special edition flying cloud perchance? 🤪[emoji23]

Obviously know you meant 1958, thanks for the giggle!
