I will of course speak with Andy from Can Am and others to see what needs to be done structurally.. and if the 25 ends up a no go then I will opt for the 23 with the bunk beds... The RR certainly can tow the 25 its just the hitch issue.
Prefer not to sell the RR yet as it has low miles and "so far" been very reliable - also great towing my boat ...
Curious if anyone has first hand experience with the TD6 at elevation ... I do plan on spending a good amount of time in the mountains...
If I end up enjoying the trailering life then I would absolutely get a better tow vehicle ... RAM 2500 or one of the new 2021 SUV's with diesel (Suburban/Denali/Escalade etc) ...
The HP and Torque are way up there. The vehicle has 15 " dia front and 14" dia rear disk brakes. I don't think most Fords GMC and Ram have that dia disc brakes.
Andy will give him the best advice. It is apparent that no one actually can answer his question as to performance at altitude. RR could probably tell the OP what the HP and torque would be in rarefied atmosphere
JCW
i have a 2017 RR diesel
towed a 2017 Sport 22FB all the way from southern cal to wisconsin and back
no problem at all
have since gotten a hensley hitch and its even better now
As JCWDCW suggests the turbo diesel will have no issue at altitudes, power loss will be minimal with the inter cooler and boost controller. My daughter's has had no issues in Utah at 8-10k. It's not a big engine to begin with so it will have a tiny bit of a struggle on the steeper grades regardless of elevation but well above the standards so as others have suggested your weak hitch seems your biggest issue, the twisting moments seem to be the problem

Thank you guys ...
Munimula - Thanks for the feedback ...
I try not to listen to the RR critics and appreciate real data ..
I would love to get the 25 twin - but understand the limitations of the RR as a TV.
