I have a 2002 E-250 V8, after towing it home without any wieght distribution or Sway Control, I think a Reese Dual Cam should be more than enough.

I have used the Reese Dual Cam System since 1995 with a trailer very similar in size to yours - - a
1964 Overlander (26' and 6,000 pounds) with a 3/4-ton 7.4 Litre Suburban. I am thrilled with the system, and would NEVER consider going back to friction sway control The Reese Dual Cam System is virtually trouble-free once it is properly setup - - periodic checks on torque on attachment hardware is all that is required. Unlike the friction sway controls that I have used, it does not have to be adjusted for wet pavement, windy conditions, or heavy truck traffic - - and it doesn't have to be removed when backing or maneuvering in tight quarters. I have been so well pleased with the system that I added it to my '78 Argosy Minuet after Reese confirmed that it could be used with smaller trailer so long as the hitch weight is at least 400 pounds.
Good luck with your decision!
