Thumbs up 2004 Safari 30 footer w/bunk

Anyone else notice that the specs are starting to show on the Airstrem website for this coach.

http://www.airstream.com/product_lin...fari_spec.html

Those that have seen it have said great things about it. I noticed that like it's 25' SS counterpart, it to has the 18 gal black tank and a base weight of 6215.

Can't wait to see one.

nice web site

I liked all your pictures and your unit looks very bright and stylish with the leather couch and light interior. I like your reading lights too. Can't wait to see your travel pictures. When are you planning to take it out?

Rv show this weekend in Pontiac Michigan, wonder what Airstreams will be there.

Is this the long awaited bunkhouse model? If it is, that black water tank size will become an issue really quick.

Is that same unit. I was kind of shocked too Jack. The bathroom is a bit larger, but there must either be a mistake or due to the rear bath, length might also not be helping the tank situation.

I had a 20 gal black water tank on my old Hi-Lo. At the time with 3 of us, the tank would be full at the end of a 3 day holiday weekend. That's why I questioned that sizing.

We went and boondocked with the family last summer. We had the two of us and we didn't get the 18 gal black tank close to half in close to a week. Then on some smaller trips about 4 days, we had similar results. I kept that in mind when I went to the larger Safari that also only has the 18 gallon tank. At one point I thought that I recalled the Bambi just before 2003 having only an 8 gallon black tank, it was on the Bambi's window sticker. That would be a problem!

That 30' unit can easily sleep 5 folks in comfort, so that 18 gallon tank will fill since the reason most folks might buy the 30' unit is to pack more folks along for the trip. Perhaps like the 8-18 gallon change, this too might be changed in future versions (if it wasn't a typo--which we all know never happens)!

Wow!

We really wanted to wait for that floorplan, but I feared it would push the tow limits of our suburban too much...

The outside shower is cool. Our SOB (2001 coleman Bayside Popup) had one, and it was handy when we needed it -- I rinsed dishes as DW washed them in the single sink inside...

What did you think of the color scheme? Also, the couch instead of the two seats would be more useful maybe?

Jack, did you notice a price tag on that 30-foot LS?
