I like my airstream because...

We spent our first night in her. We went to the LBL mini Rally and had a great time meeting some neat forum folks. She is far from finished, but should give us many years of fun and work. I can't wait to take her out again.

Lovin' the stream...

It is Thursday! And I my Bambi! Last night and today we had the first rain of the season... a pretty good soaking rain! And.... (drum roll here...) it was the first time since the restoration that our Bambi has been out in the weather! Fingers crossed... she seems nice and dry! No leaks that we have found!

We were feeling a bit about how she would do... but so far so good! Next week we will be getting her ready for the road ~ down to Lake San Antonio! Then, north to Beverly Beach!

Hubby has been working on the tow vehicle... removed the bumper, new hitch receiver, all new bolts, painted the bumper, and new light for the license plate! Our little 1968 Ford 4 X 4 is ready to pull the Tardis!

It is Thursday, and I love my Bambi!

First kid up gets Thursday's 1st post

I know its not really fair since it was 1am PST when I woke up in EST.
It is nice to log on and have some Airstream company when you can't sleep, even if it is just reading old threads.
And I was wondering if there are more Airstreams than kids. Seems there are unlimited photos of Airstreams but Airstreams kids are hard to find.
Thanks AS forum, for being there while the coffee is brewing and everyone else seems to be sound asleep.

Well it really is Thursday and I like my Airstream cause I can't wait to visit it (its at a storage place near us) so I can think of things to improve it. I look forward to taking her(?) out on our first trip - probably a quick weekend trip to Front Royal or some other nearby place to "get our feet wet." Who knows, maybe we will run into (not literally of course) a forum member.

It's Thursday, and I like my Airstream:

Next week I start the strip process and then polish, I just love thinking how he will look when I'm done.

We just got back from our maiden voyage, 10 days down in the Shawnee Nat'l Forest... it was so luxurious! We were accustomed to our little Aliner popup, which is really just a step up from a tent... and now THIS! Took warm showers & made chili... hung out beneath the awning and took turns sleeping in the different areas. Watched the leaves fall & went persimmon hunting. Dreamy! We were so comfortable! We love our Airstream!!!

empresley~our little one had the best time of us all.. another Airstream kid!!

Nice photo flutterbee. I know my two boys (6& 9) love camping in our Airstream. So does our cocker spaniel...so does my wife....so does her husband!

This week I like my Airstream because she's taking a rest this week end, but next week end she will be taking the family to Disney World to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! We all can't wait for another trip to our favorite place on earth!

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because I'm getting things ready for next week's NorCal Rally..cleaned the slipcovers of the bed, and will start decluttering the dinette area..I've found that I have extra plastic containers I've stored that I probably don't really need..do any of you find you have too much stuff that you store in your a/s????

Also, I'm looking to buy some red paint to do the numbers on the front of the Safari..any suggestions on brands of paint??

Properly winterized our Airstream is being snowed on at this very moment, yes the leaves are still on the trees, haven't turned colors yet, but we live in Michigan!
Meanwhile I am planning the new flooring and colors for the dinette upholstery...counting my blessings lets see Tigers are doing well (knock wood), its hockey season (yippee), family is healthy and happy!, oh yeah lots to look forward to on the forum until camping next spring!

....Thursday... because...Airstream One is taking me home. After two full weeks on the road it's nice to get back home.
We've been from the mountains (Banner Elk NC) to the coast (Emerald Isle NC) down the coast to Wilmington and now headed home to Sumter SC. Two weeks with a bunch of new and old friends, customers...1600 miles with lots of smiles. And of course the never ending enjoyment of folks asking about Airstream One.

it's Thursday again, I like my Airstream this week because she took us away from our hurry-up-busy-busy life, to the beach where we played in the sand, watched the dolphins float by, and lost ourselves in the glorious sunsets.

hi maxandgeorgia...

i'm going to a very very remote campground on essentially an island like penisula extending deep into a lake....

a place i've never been to b4....

with a brand new airstreamer who wants 2 learn all about their trailer and i get to help!

we will likely be the only campers for many miles in all directions...since many spots are closing soon for the season...

i'lll share where next week....it looks like a great fall weekend with cool nights filled with stars and a campfire....

crisp mornings with ozark bacon and pancakes and high class coffee...now i'm droolin'....

hey ewu...

you are not gonna leave us hangin' are ya?

where was the leak?

cheer
2air'

ok, never mind, after searching (duh!) i found the leak too!

http://www.airforums.com/forum...6-post839.html

you are gonna weld polyethylene? cool...
does that really work...
tune in next week....to find out!

Thursday! Goodie!

Once again Thursday rolls around!

We are happy to be alive and seeing each day! It is great each time I go into the back yard or garage I can see my sweet little Bambi! Tomorrow I start getting her ready for the NorCal rally... Don's been working away! Bambi has a nice new sway control bar and new ball mount on the truck! She also has a cute new little back up light in the back! (I don't think the guys would call it "cute", but hey, it is "my" Airstream!

It is Thursday and I my Airstream! In the words of the Trailer Park Troubadors... "I'd rather have a trailer full of love than a mansion full of money"...

Here is a picture of Don last week when he was redoing the barden bumper on our 68 Ford Tow Vehicle...
