Thumbs up One Airstream... starting today!

Hello all - Gigi and I just agreed to buy a 1977 Argosy 6m today. So after a good number of years of drooling... Finally registering for forum, thought it "funny" Argosy's not in list of Airstreams. Seems to be an unintended pattern for Gigi and I to be a fringe group of a fringe group!http://www.airforums.com/forums/newreply.php
But - glad to join up!

Well it was one for the longest time, but now I have two. My original '78 31 Sovereign (rear twin) and my new to me '82 34' Limited! I think I need to reduce my inventory by one and the '78 will be going.

Take care,

I have owned a 1989 25 Excella, a 1990 34' Excella and I now own 2 34' Limited w/slideouts, one a 2001 and one a 2003. I bought all the above new except the 2003 which was 6 months old.

2 Airstreams

I have 2 34' Limited Slide outs - a 2000 with the couch slide and a 2003 with the dinette slide. I have my own 6 site campsite on the side of Cold Mnt in North Carolina. My wife and I use the 2000(has fireplace) and my grown children and friends use the 2003. In the winter after hurricane season, we bring the Airstreams back to Islamorada, Fl where we live.

Sorry, I voted before I read your post clarifying the poll. Whoops. Can I have a do-over?

I've had two. My first was a 1969 International 31' that I bought in 1983. My '92 Limited was bought in 1999.

I owned two until yesterday...1966 Overlander and a 1973 Argosy 24. I sold the Argosy yesterday and watched with tears in my eyes as it went down the road. We decided to get a shortie instead of keeping two almost the same size. Sooo, the hunt is on! Brenda/Chattanooga,TN

We also owned a 1968 29' Streamline Empress. Good rig, but not quite an Airstream. There was one thing about it that I did like over the Airstream, and that was the shower actually had a door, so you didn't get water everywhere, as opposed to that half-door thingamabobber on our Sovereign.

Post How Many Airstreams Do You Own

We have four airstreams; 1971 31 foot Sovereign (trying to sell), a 1968 24 foot Tradewind (trying to sell), a 1963 22 foot Safari (being shined) and a 1963 19 foot Globetrotter (stripping the interior walls to reveal the aluminum).

Market Analysis

With this many people still owning 1 airstream, there is potential for repeat sales. Airstream should be seeing that.
