There are only 2 in our small town, ours and the other one is a 71. When I spotted it in a driveway I had to stop and talk to the owners (of course) and welcome them to Airstreaming. We are covered up with all kinds of white cracker boxes.

On our short street there are 2 SOBS. In fact, just last night, our neighbor traded in their 24 foot box for a 29 foot sled. It is HUGE!!! Master bedroom, huge bunks (double bed size), slide-out with a dinnete and couch, and cubby/hook-ups for 3 televisons- who needs 3 Tvs while camping?????

Anyway, it will be the party trailer (read: trashable)- kid's hang-out- when we join them down the road next week!!

And our little dahling will stay nice and unthrashed!

When I voted None, I was generally thinking within a mile radius of our house. There is one couple who own a '95 Excella 25' in immaculate condition and a '70 Caravel a little over a mile away. There are 2 or 3 others in our town.

Seeing more of them locally!!!!

There were FIVE - including mine over Memorial Day weekend in my home campground. That is three more than I've ever seen before. There is also a beautiful little Globetrotter I saw in a yard near Oceana NAS. I also know of a 1998 31' Classic that is for sale at Vest Autos here in Va Beach. I've seen one that's derelict on a farm near me and another one I've spotted on Centerville Turnpike in Chesapeake.

I notice that ONE of the new ones is a former SOB owner who saw my CCD and fell in love... Made the Haj to Colonial Airstream and got a barely used one. He's in hog heaven.

Hi Bruno,

I am sorry, but I have to correct you... I had a list (which got lost at the big HD-Bang in January) and on that list I had at least 40 Airstreams here in good old Europe... They are here, just not very obvious to us... But we are still not enough people over here!!

Hi Bjoern;
I remember you talked me that in the past but how many on the road ?
For the first time, last week , I 've met an airstream motorhome 290 near Calais, on the motorway and it was a GB license plate... it's nearly a miracle to see that in Europe.
In your 40 AS list , i supose most of them are used in a commercial way.
Where I've repaired my AS after the crash, The guy owns , may be, ,6 and a AS motorhome... All that for renting in movies, tv shows ... never to be really on the road for a travel ; He is not on the airforums map too because it's not his passion ; only a business.
15 or 40, they are not a lot and even with 40, I 've no neighbor owning an AS.

Bruno
