Why is it so much lighter?

For the 1975 Argosy 20 (not a minuet), the brochure lists the weight as 2880lbs.

For the same year Airstream 21' GlobeTrotter, the airstream lists the DRY weight as 3390lbs.

For a 1971 Caravel 18' it lists the DRY weight as 3290lbs.

Anyone actually *know* why there is large amount of difference?

Currently rebuilding an agrosy and I have almost all the original parts. Everything is made of thin steel that looks like wood/plywood (walls/cabinets/shelves) . There was also a alot of cardboard and thin composite. The couch and beds even had thin steel legs. I am actually kind of excited to just repaint and shove everything back in. 40 years is along time and the fixtures are in better condition than some early 2000s trailers I have seen.
