What is this?
have this trailer on my property. The former owner is no where to be found.There are no stickers or plates that I can find and the vin on the frame by the hitch is unreadable.
Can you tell any thing about it? like the year? Any thing would be appreciated?

Looks like a mid 1980s Argosy trailer, around 33' long. You can see the name in several locations on the trailer body as well as the rock guard.

There should be a VIN tag on the left front side of the trailer on the outside.
You can also check the inside of the closet doors for a tag with the VIN and weights.

If you can't find the ~3x4" plate attached to the body curbside, you most likely will find the VIN punched into the frame top at the front behind the hitch. It should be under the white hood right behind the coupler on both sides of the (A) frame.

Thanks there are no tags on the out side and the one on the frame is unreadable

Does it look like *all* the VIN's have been deliberately defaced? I'd get a bit suspicious in that case. Wear and tear are one thing, chisel marks are something else. Without a VIN, getting it back on the road may (or may not) be a chore. States vary a *lot* in this respect.

If someone who had the authority to, allowed or bargained for the trailer owner to park the trailer where it is, then there might be a verbal or written contract that you might be obligated to honor until you notify the owner otherwise.
