Thanks Joe! When I called to make a reservation and let them know I would be bringing a 26' Argosy, I got a puzzled response that it was an Airstream only facility. I explained the Argosy origins and all was ok on the other side of the line but just thought I'd double check. Surely I'm not the first Argosy to arrive?

There were a couple up there this summer as I recall. I will be back up there around the 21st. Maybe I'll see you if you are there.

Believe it or not, there is still some residual animosity toward Argosy trailers and motor homes within the club. I found that out personally one day.
But the campground is open to all trailers and motorhomes made by Airstream.

I am a share owner at Virginia Highland Haven and I can assure you there is no animosity toward Argosy trailers. We welcome any trailer or motorhome manufactured by Airstream, Inc. This summer we have hosted Airstream trailers of all ages and sizes, Airstream motorhomes including several brand new Interstates, and Argosy trailers.

The park uses a cell phone to field calls and sometimes the service is spotty. Perhaps the host had difficulty hearing the call and needed clarification. I know this happened to me several times the week I hosted.

my3sonsdad, please enjoy your visit. It is a beautiful and peaceful place.

Thanks Susan! Everything I have read from experiences of others has been extremely positive and I feel fortunate to have such a beautiful place to go in my own "backyard". I am very much looking forward to it!
