Updates on soft or hard rock guards?

We're about a month out from taking our first trip with the Argosy. Starting to pull ideas in for rock guards. Been looking through older threads but don't see much new about how are they holding up, new ideas, etc. Wife is leaning toward something like conduit used for a light weight frame with padded fabric attached to the frame. Sounds great, but I like seeing through the center window while towing and have heard little snippets about fabric not lasting in the wind.

What are others using? How is it holding up? How much did it cost? Pics please??

There's a thread on homemade rock guards.

Thanks. Yes, I've read through many of them, but most are old and I am wondering about how they are holding up. Are they protecting well, or only a bit, etc.

For the effort I would either buy new ones from Airstream or try to fabricate something like them. Anything else is gonna look cheesy so why not just go temporary with some refletix and painters tape?

I also like seeing through the trailer but the center window is an easy replacement if it gets broken. Protect those clear panorama windows!!!!
