Hi Eric, love the new paint job. How did you re-attach the ARGOSY emblem at the back or did you leave it on and paint around it? After we had our Argosy painted the emblem wasn't attached very well and fell off. We lost it. I found another on eBay, but I haven't attached it yet. I want to make sure it is done right this time. Thanks.

I used rivets to put it back on. Seems secure enough. Hope it stays on.

I just finished reading through the thread from front to back and you have done some great work on the Argosy. I we were to ever renovate restore another airstream, I think it would be an Argosy. The two tone paint options look great!

We're at the start of a shelf off, so it's encouraging to see that these stories do have a happy ending.

Enjoy that shiny trailer!

Sweet! Iíve followed your thread since you started! That looks great. Love the paint. Iím finishing my too. Paint is next. Mine will be combo of paint and polished aluminum. You need some rock guards to protect your panoramic windows. They are almost unobtainable. Looks great.

Thanks for the complement. I like the polished / painted combos as well but mine came to me well used and abused. It has had several repairs and at least three prior paint jobs. I even found evidence of body work from the factory No worries though because it's all good and I always planed on paint from the beginning. I think there is at least one photo of my home made rock guards earlier in the post if you are interested. I still have some work to do on them and possibly framing (we'll see) but overall I'm happy with the result now I just have to figure out how I want to mount the center guard and complete it.

Nice. Are you going to paint or polish? I saw were someone went over all the aluminum with a scotch brite pad to give the entire camper a nice even appearance. Looked really good.

Camper paint

We are going to do a combo of light metallic blue with polished aluminum. Something similar to this photo. We will bring everything in to cover the endcaps.

I like that paint scheme. I toyed with how to do that with mine but the endcaps didn't fit the pattern. I look forward to seeing how you make out. I have seen a couple that painted the endcaps silver and you have to look twice at it to notice. You could also wrap the end cap which potentially would be even closer.

Eric, your paint scheme is especially tasteful for its understated nature IMO.

The light top half reflects the horizon and sky nicely!

We wanted to bring modern themes to the camper yet keep the 70's origins alive with the paint.
