Stove vent foam seal? 1977 Argosy

Attached photo is the vent hood from a 1977 Argosy 24 which we recently acquired. Now that the two week honeymoon is over and rain is forecast, we are looking to seal some things up.
In the picture attached, I am looking to replace the black foam.
Does anyone know what type of foam is used to seal the vent hood?
Thank you in advance. They'll be many more questions ahead.

It was just regular weather stripping foam with an adhesive backing that you can buy in any hardware store. It was about half and inch wide.
