reno ?

Can I tow my trailer with the shell still on it after I have removed part of the floor? I am sure some welding will need to be done to the frame but since my dad passed I don't have access to a welder and it will need to go to a friends shop about 15min drive from my home. I don't want to damage the shell and I have no place to remove the shell the city will not let it on my front lawn so that option is off the table.

Sorry for your loss.

Can you tow it? That would depend on how much sub-floor has been removed. Photos might be nice.

The shell is supported by the sub-floor witch is supported by the frame. So if too much sub-floor has been removed the shell could shift, buckle or worse while in transit.

Perhaps a portable welder?
You don't have to completely remove the shell to weld the frame or replace the sub-floor. There are several ways to Raise it and support it as you go or all at once.

It has the typical rot at the back behind the shower and at the front under the water tank. I have not removed the subfloor yet and had thought about trying to replace the subfloor frame on due to restricted space and wanted to check before I went to far. I will have to look for a portable welder in my area being in a city they are rarer than in the country but there should be someone around
