Refrigerator vent???

Hey guys,

We’ve removed the original domestic gas/electric refrigerator and gonna replace with a 110v unit. What/how/etc do I do with the original refrigerator vent? The outside vent mounting flange is cracked. Do I remove or replace? Hopefully the answer is remove and cover the vent hole. If its recommended to remove where do I get replacement metal for the cover?

Thanks

You don't need the vent with an electric model so you can remove and cover. Here is a source for every thing you would need.

Now the question is would it be easier to repair the cracked cover and leave the vent or buy the aluminum, buy the rivet and necessary tooling to buck rivet a patch in place. Oh is your interior panel out so you can access the buck rivet form the inside other wise you will want to use Olympic rivets which will need a rivet shaver $350.

Fridge vent

Fridge vent is gone and patched. Purchased a piece of aluminum from out doors mart. I used the aluminum sheet to make cover for le heater, antenna and antenna wire on the roof. Really did clean up outside. Thanks for advice.
