New 26-footer

After a long search, I purchased a Argosy 26 this weekend. It amazing how much bigger it feels after owning a 20' Minuet. The storage, additional height and width are great.

PO had installed new axles and it has good paint with no body damage and everything works.
It has the original furnace so that will have to be replaced. I'm also going to purchase two new twin beds from a local manufacture that builds to fit for boats and RV's. However, if some one has a couple in good shape in the Seattle area I'd consider purchasing as opposed to spending the extra $.

It's a twin bed config but the owner said he purchased from the original owner and they bought it as a double but brought it back to Airstream after just a year and had them install the second twin. It also has a removable hanging bunk.

If anyone has a lead on the mattress, let me know.

Thanks
Dan

Welcome Dan to the forums!

There are lots of Argosy owners here and all willing to help.

Argosy 77-22, Rod, has a thread right now on mattresses - 'Argosy 28' Mattresses'. Although he has a rear bedroom trailer, he mentions a company that is near you - North American Mattress Company. You could try giving them a call.

Good Luck and I look forward to seeing more.

I know what you mean about space. We went from a 22' to a 28', theres no comparison. It seems twice as big, not just 6' longer. Love the burnt orange. I did just pm you. northamericanmattress.com

Just received the twin bunk sized mattresses from Camping World. They were on sale for $246 each. They have springs in between foam layers and a nice quilted top. It says that it takes up to 12 hours for them to expand to their full size, the pics were taken immediately after unpacking.

I'll report back tomorrow after they have a chance to expand.
