How could somebody do this to an Argosy?

What makes a person want to sponge paint the interior of an Argosy? What a crying shame!!!

Not my taste either, but to each his own. Just takes the right person to buy it. (right out of their mind)

"Looks great inside"... says the blind man.

It's not even a GOOD sponge painting job. It looks like a kindergarden class went nuts fingerpainting. Uuuuggghhhh.

I confess to having been a sponge painter, but MY sponging is subtle in pale shades. That Argosy is awful.

I can say this about the paint--It kept everyone from noticing the black-painted paneling, household fridge, missing stove grates, household mattresses, and couch with shutters over the inside of the wing windows.

You missed the poor tile job on the sink, scenes on the overhead doors, ripped plywood on the TV shelf, and other evidences of 'creativity'. I didn't look at the floor, but I know it is likely worthy of comment as well. Sorry, but this Argosy has probably found its final resting place.

Looks like the owner of that Argosy and Birdy's previous owner took the same two classes at the Adult Day Care Center..."Sponge Painting 101" and "Decorating with Large Florals 101"!

I say roll with it. Get some big fruity rum drinks, a grass skirt, blast Hawaiian luau tunes out the door and have a ball.

Wink I don't know....

"Great for deer camp or lake property."

Can't you just envision a group of burley deer hunters sitting around sipping tall, skinny, no-whip latte's and snacking on hummus on whole wheat crackers while they discuss the day's hunting exploits?

Designer camo required....

LOL, speaking of which. Have you seen the Airstream Argosy painted in Camo? Wish I had the pic handy.

I bought a '56 22' a few years ago that the PO had used a cloth and a bucket of dark stain to redo ALL the birch, got it all over the zolatone , appliances and aluminum trim inside. She had perfect skin and was 100% complete right down to paperwork . The end product was worth the labor at about 4 cents per hour. It also had aluminum wiring and black iron drain lines, but they were from the factory.

Hey, now you guys...don't you know, you can make anything work out in decorating if you just put your mind to it. You got big florals, but your worried about those camo junkie hunters messin up your ambiance??? Hey, you can make it work. In, fact they might just blend very nicely - let me show you how....

Bad Decor Choices

Designer camo NOT required

Okay, now I'm kind of nervous to post pics of our Argosy re-do... We're not sponge painting, but I hope the group agrees we do right by our camper and let it maintain its dignity. Be gentle with me!
