help! new to me 1976 28' argosy!

Hi! I am embarking on restoring my new-to-me 1976 28' argosy and am having some trouble figuring out the best floor plan for me. Does anyone have drawings of scale floor plans I could use? Been trying to scour the internet, but haven't quite found the right thing. Thanks!

You might consider going out onto Airstream’s site and looking at all of the old 28’ floor plans. You may find an interesting idea from the past.

Thanks! Yes, I looked but I could not find something that I could trace and use as a scale model for my layout plans, unfortunately.

Here is info showing the original layouts. Your should be similar, rear bath, beds in the middle. This will give you an idea of what used to be there. It looks like you have a blank slate.

If the tanks are still there, they will dictate where the bath needs to be but the water tank would have been above the floor across the front and the black tank above the floor under the toilet and sink in the rear and they don't show in the pictures. The grey tank would be below the floor between the frame rails. If they are gone you will have to install new tanks, but can move the bathroom.

My rough floor illustration

Hey there //

I'm in the same boat and was trying to find proper manual/layouts for this year. I couldn't get the exact so I mad a rough illustration.

NOTE: the windows might not be in the exact right spots as I haven't picked up my airstream yet. Only was out to measure it real quickly.

I did base this off a 1976 30' manual I found and altered it to best match what I have. Good luck!

I haven't seen any to scale drawings around and doubt you will see any unless you break into the factory. When they build them the workers start at the back or front depending on the door location and work towards the door each piece connected to the next
