Thumbs up Better late than never, new owner

A few months ago I purchased a 77 Minuet 6.0 from Tom AKA Mutcth on the forum. Sense we have owned her we have made a few changes even though the unit was in excellent shape, Tom did the hard repairs. I grew up camping with my parents in a Argosy 24 ft so I figured I would mimic my fathers unit. What I did was replace the orange insert with black, paint the lower wrap and hitch area Airstream grey. Also added the grey LP tank cover and AC unit. It gets hot in the South. Another detail was to strip and polish the rear bumper and paint the emblems red. That's about it for now planning on doing some work on the interior over the winter months I will keep you posted.

Glad we found this place!!!

Thanks, I will look for them. Also, how did you attach your spare behind the propane tank?

Roger: My spare tire for my Argosy simply sits between the propane tanks and the front metal of the rig. The clearance is perfect and the propane thanks keep it from moving. The tire rests on the frame rails, so nothing else is needed to hold it in place. Been there for about 14 years now. Easy, and free. I did buy a cover for the tire.

I wondered if the tire sitting on the frame rail might cause the rubber to deform. Here in central california, temps are 100+ for 4+ months, frame gets hot. Tire might do better in some kind of cradle?

Yay! Nice work Jeff! I was always meaning to polish those badges...

The spare tire mount was built for me by Frank's Trailer Works, who did a lot of the previous work on the trailer.

We were wondering how things were going with our beloved Minuet. Sure, it's just an object - but all the same, we're glad to see it's in good hands and continues to get lots of attention and affection.

Hey Tom,
Things are going great with the little unit. A couple of weeks ago took her on a trip to the beach and everything work perfectly. Thanks for selling me a gem.
