Argosy Sighting
Found this old girl lost in the woods. One would need a chainsaw to get her out. She is suffering from neglect. Notice tree branch sticking through the skin. What a shame! Will try to save her. Any idea what it is worth? Thanks!

Bob,
As little as you can get away with. It will take a lot of time and perhaps money to make a good, usable trailer.
But the panorama windows are so cool.

Roadrunner, looks like a 20' not a minuet. has more space between toilet and bath sink, bath 'door' has extra room to hinge of closet, also extra room on bath door and edge of stove. only one window on street side, what kind of floor, wood or aluminum, nice find, good luck, jeff

This non-Minuet will have a wood floor.
It's certainly a find. Not to be mean though, but that trailer isn't worth too much. It's really quite rough, what with the dent in the front and the hole/metal patch on the streetside. I've seen solid restored Argosy 20's selling for around $6000.
Still, part of me is rooting for that to be back on the road...

Argosy's always seem to be listed for their top price in Florida. Just saw a Minuet last week for $4500. It wasn't neglected but it didn't look too loved either.

I bought a 24' very much like it this past spring. Also found it in the woods and the right front was also caved in, easy fix once you remove the inside skin.
The front floor was rotten and some of the interior was missing.
I paid $400 without title.
Got a bonded tittle and fixer her up over the summer. Electric and tires were the biggest expense. Got about $2000 in her now and I'm very pleased.

Will keep everyone posted...but this one will require some sleuthing. No plates, no information, no owner yet. Any neighbors haven't seen anyone around in years. May be making a trip to the courthouse to check out deed map. Owners apparently live out of state. Thanks for your thoughts!

As a proud owner of an Argo, I can honestly say they are WORTH restoring like all other Airstreams. You've got a chunk of change to sink into this girl before it's road worthy, so follow the advice of previous posts: Make a very low offer. In fact, offer to remove it from the premises FOR FREE. Good luck!

How sad! I hope you can rescue her. The fact that the windows & awning arms are still there & intact is amazing, as is the state of the interior in the picture you took. Let us know what happens!

Update
Well I was able to find the owner but have not acquired the trailer. Owner will not let it go for less than 1000.00. Honestly, you would probably need to spend that much just for cleaning supplies. I have never seen such rodent infestation in a trailer (and I've seen a few). Add mold and you have a real ecosystem going there. A tree branch put a hole in the roof and the owner tried covering it with a tarp...which has since blown over the side and snow and water are no doubt taking their toll. It's a shame to let an Airstream deteriorate like this...so I'm back on the hunt.

Sorry that your search did not result in an aquisition. 1K is just waaaaaayyy too much for that unit. As was mentioned before, $0-300 with $500 tops is what I would give for it. That is a shame because the 20' are a cute trailer. Lots of room in a small space and a nice layout. Keep lookin', there are more out there. I see quite a few of the older trailers in my travels. Separating cheaply from their owners is the hard part! Everyone thinks the interiors are anodized gold, not aluminum.
Good Searching.

Must have had a second thought OR it's sold already.
