Argosy 26' contertop size?

Hello all,

I recently pulled the trigger and purchased a (project) Argosy 26 with the twin beds floor plan. Its a project but all there and still had working appliances, good shell and solid floor.

I plan on replacing countertops and flooring, etc. It is a long distance away from here and will not be home for a few weeks but I getting supplies ready/ bought some plumbing and a new SS sink yesterday at IKEA.

Can anyone give me the countertop dimensions for the 26? I want to buy the countertops this week, will probably go with LG Himatics of Wilsonart Formica from Lowes. (I wont cut it until the trailer is here, but for many of the cool patterns they are special order and take a few weeks to deliver).

I have a 28' Argosy with twin bed setup and bath at rear end. Do you know if the countertops are the same size? Mine is 26"X61 1/2" with cut out for stove and sink. The backsplash is 3/4"X2" on the back and right end. The front and left end are covered with a metal countertop edging. The bathroom vanity is formed fiberglas. Hope this helps. Mr D

I sent you a private message since we live close to you. I thought I saw earlier that you already had it home.

My two cents worth though is that I wouldn't buy anything until it comes. The '70s trailers had either the orange (which ours has) or green countertops and some of them are in good shape (ours is/was). Also, our little double sink was in good shape also. We did have to buy a faucet since that leaked.

I know it is hard when you are excited to hold on and wait, but sometimes you have to. Maybe take it out camping and see what you really don't like and then change it!

Yours was not a Minuet was it? Of course, that changes a lot of dimensions.

I did get it home, don't like the counter top color and had special ordered something to replace it, but am going to wait to install counter until everything is pretty much done, it at least works for now!
