'77 minuet 6.0 new to us

I posted a hello in the new member area ten saw this group so another introduction.

We saw this little guy under a tree down the street from us. It's disgusting but all there. New tires and relatively new axle. All glass and even the side tail light that was knovpcked off was found in a cupboard. Not sure what works or what doesn't but in the end we are getting it for 1000. We are waiting for the front door to be properly rehung before the check changes hands. Anyone feel this is a bad idea? The wife and I are very handy, haven't worked in a curved environment but have half a dozen bathroom remodels as well as two kitchens so outside of paint and bodywork we are pretty comfortable.

Here's a link to the othe thread with pix. Look forward to all you thoughts

Welcome and congratulations. In my estimation you are in great shape. For what you are getting, I would throw my thousand dollars down in a heartbeat.

Somebody cared enough to install rockguard and put a new axle under it, and it's not going to surprise me much if you find that everything works and in the end you just need to clean it up, make a few repairs, and think about painting the exterior.

I paid appreciably more and have more work to do, and less to work with, so there ya go, to me you scored. Enjoy !
