24’ Argosy

Folks,
This Argosy is new to me and a step up from my ‘77 Trillium. I’m writing because I bought it on a crazy impulse without really knowing a lot about what I was getting into. Here’s a link to its build.

I’d love to know what the forum thinks it might be valued at and if there a market out there. I’ve never owned anything I didn’t think I could flip as an investment. This is a first. I’d be happy to share pics to interested folks.

Thanks... From Vermont,
Charlie

I don’t think you can look at buying and selling an Argosy as an investment. I know Shoeless Joe put a lot of time and money in to this Argosy and probably didn’t recoup all of it. I have seen people asking upwards of $10,000 for an Argosy and we purchased ours for $4,000 (Cdn), so $3,000 U.S. It was almost pristine in condition. We had to get new tires, but not much has changed. We didn’t have too, but we repainted it for around $4,000 and I replaced the shag carpet with a new vinyl wood planking, $300.
This is a good time to sell trailers and RV’s now with the COVID thing. People are buying them up in droves these days.

Welcome to the forum, Charlie. Your post above, dated 11/15/20, appears to be your only post here. How's it going up there in Vermont . . . did this purchase work out for you?

Happy trails,
