Hi,
I've participated here in the past though not a lot lately. I have two Argosys, a '76 which is "campable" and a '78 which is not.
The '78 was the first one I bought and has a much nicer shell but really needs some love to make it decent. I've ended up cutting out the bellypan (rodents) and removing the kitchen cabinets, stove, fridge, and counters (also rodents). I also removed the rear bath and rotted flooring there.
So, it's the classic partially gutted project that seems to be so popular in Airstream circles.
I've had it on Craigslist locally and only been approached by folks who just wanted some parts which they didn't even know would much about. I have the skills and tools to do the work but my circumstances have changed and storing it until I can get back to it doesn't make much sense.
So, I'm open to ideas from the forum about how to proceed. I have less than $4k into it and can take a loss but would rather not. I do need an enclosed trailer and would be willing to trade for something that will help me get my mother moved across country this fall.
I suppose if it comes down to it I'll store it for another winter and complete the gutting in the spring, install a new floor over the existing and try to sell it as a mobile store or food truck shell.
I'm open to offers and suggestions, this group has been good to me and I value your input.
Thanks,
John
