We purchased a 1977 28 foot center bath Argosy in New Brunswick, Canada and the layout doesn't match any of the layouts in the 1977 Argosy brochure. We're stumped as to what we've purchased or how to find a manual for it online. When you go in the front door our stove and sink are to the right right in front of the couch. None of the models in the brochure have anything to the right except a couch! Did we buy some sort of unknown model?! I'd love any help you can give me! Have you seen this floor plan before?
Airstream used the Argosy line to test new plan layouts and yours is probably one of those. Possibly the only one made. I have a 1977 center bath and my kitchen and bath are on the driver’s side. The usual variation is other years have the bath on the passenger side but still the same basic layout.
Check your VIN tag. It should have the month and year of manufacture stamped at the top and the VIN number should start with 28 for the length. There should be a V or an S in the middle of the VIN number for the Versailles, OH factory or a more rare S for the California Airstream factory. Mine has an S.
I doubt you will ever find a brochure or owner’s manual with this layout. What’s shown in the owner’s manual may not be right either. I have the original owner’s manual for my Minuet and both the 12v and 120v electric layouts shown are completely different from how the trailer was built.

That thing is sweet... would love to renovate that layout
It definitely gives us a lot of options!! Almost too many. Our last reno was easy, this one I'm having a hard time deciding what to pull out, what to move and what to leave!
Since it's so unusual in terms of layout, I'd probably leave it as configured, and update the furniture and appliances. The "center door" is certainly different for an Argosy.

The door position tells quite a bit. I would say that it is probably a custom order. I would love to have one like that. The possibilities are endless for a custom remodel.
ive been looking for you for 2 months ! I posted all over Facebook and Kijiji trying to find the trailer that was sold in NB so I could find out info on the floor plan. I’ve been kicking myself for not purchasing it , what a awesome layout you got. I’m on the hunt now for this floor plan but have been coming up empty thanks for sharing the pictures. I’m in NS.
