That looks great! It gives me an idea of how I hope our will look. We are going with a burgundy and cream combo. Only difference is we are doing the vents in burgundy as well as the lower body.
Thanks for sharing.

It looks great.
I have a 1978 Minuet that I hope to paint this spring. I have been researching what to prime and paint with. Would it be possible for you to post the actual Mfg and item numbers you used? The color would not matter to me, but the actual product does.
Thanks for any help.

The Argosy has a pearl finish. You cannot see in pictures. It really shines in sun.

WOW, very nice. I really like the two tone colour combo. You must be proud. It looks like a new trailer, right of the lot.

Crunch,
There is another highly contemporized, two-tone Argosy near you, mine, wintering at the Aylmer Fairgrounds:
See post # 466 here for shots of the painting proccess at Wiltsie Truck Bodies, Aylmer:
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f227...-18448-34.html
You probably pass Wiltsie's shop from time to time.

I do pass by Wiltsie Truck Bodies maybe once a month, Sergei. I didn't know you stored it there. I followed the progress of your transformation and I must say....it looked great too. Still does!
Do you still "camp" out in Port Burwell from time to time?
Oooops, I saw you store it at the Fairgrounds! Inside....where?

Yes, indoors until spring. Both the truck and trailer. The MINI is in Toronto with me.
Maybe you mean Port Bruce? I rented a house down there for the first couple years of the 5 year long rebuild.

Under carriage painted black. I think we are finished painting. Now all we have to do is get everything put back together.

The world needs more of this kind of originality.
I've been waiting for some non-conventional thinker on the silver side, brave enough to paint their trailer banana yellow or lime green or robin's egg blue....
Airplanes used to be all aluminum. They're mostly painted now.
Maybe they realized that a good paint job far outlasts a shine. Or maybe they just want to be noticed in a crowd, stand out from the competition.
'Way to go Billy!

Absolutely gorgeous!!! Your friend does excellent work!
I want to paint ours white on top, and royal blue on the bottom. Sean has other ideas (Sergei, I believe banana yellow and/or tiger stripes were mentioned ), plus painting is expensive, so it will stay the original color for a while longer.

So, now that your friend has done one of these on a "helping a buddy" basis, does he have an idea what he'd need to make to feel like it was worth him time to paint one for a "normal customer" transaction?
