Rivet Video of AS TTs being assembled in Jackson Center Plant

I did a search through the web of Airforums on this subject, but couldn't find where this video had been posted here before.

A very well-shot piece showing how it's done. Discovery Channel's "How Stuff Is Made" series.

HowStuffWorks Videos "Assembly Line: Airstream Trailers"

Sorry if it's a double...

Cheers,
Aage

Sorry Aage
U need to go back and listen very carefully to the video. Its not Jacksonville Plant.ITS Jackson Center Plant and that's in OHIO. Airstream is made and assemble at this plant which is the Only Plant. Except for the NEW Mini-Motorhome which is assembled directly across the street in what I believe is the original building that Wally Used when he came to Ohio to build his trailer. I have toured the plant several times.
If I am wrong on the facts I'm sure someone will correct me.
I am 60 miles from the plant.

Nice video, thanks for posting it. I wish it were in Jacksonville, I think it would be little closer for me to get to.

I find it so amazing that there is so much going into the making of an Airstream - it is no wonder how people feel about their own Airstream - a piece of Americana.

Well, I went and watched how Airstreams are made (thank you thank you thank you) and then I watched a bunch of other stuff, and then I watched Jay Leno sacrifice a couple of new Corvette's to make a neat 66 Toronado, and then.................

Well, you get the picture (sorry for the pun, couldn't help myself). I'm having a lot of fun watching the various short videos on this site.

Thank you for posting it. Great fun and especially for cold days and nights when camping is out of the picture.

Hehe, I thought it was just me that did stuff like that. I do love Discovery Channel, and could probably watch it all day if I didn't limit myself.
