May not be for everybody....
This Special Edition looks fantastic... I thank Jackson Center for coming up with new ideas and themed TT's and now an Interstate. Not sure that the IS has enough towing capacity to haul the Tommy but it would be so COOL!!!
I feel very lucky that we were able to get one of the Pendleton's (#62) which is now sitting out in front of our new home in Santa Fe. My electrician is hard at work trenching and laying conduit for a 50 amp outlet at the far edge of our driveway, as I write this. Since taking delivery in early April we've towed her over 11K miles (tracked by the F-150's computer). The 2015 Supercrew Lariat V-8 gasser did a remarkable job of towing the AS from Austin TX to Santa Fe last weekend. Love the Hensley hitch in the wind. And wind we did have!!! 40 mph crosswind on I-40 with gusts to who knows how high. It was, without a doubt the heaviest wind I have ever driven in. Ever!!!!
So the new place is right at 7K feet elevation, and I may have felt a slight loss of power but overall the beast did a fairly good job. I do intend to add an F-250 to the fleet at some point. Just as an aside, when we drove the F-150 back to Austin two weeks ago, empty, she made the 720 mile trip on one 36 gallon tank of gas. Had a nice tailwind and made the trip in one day.
I can't wait to see the Tommy B in person. The rear hatch lives on!!!
