Ditto -- no direct threats perceived here.

A better solution, if there were threats, would be for a moderator to remove specific posts, which has happened before.

Robust disagreement is a good thing!

Remain Calm and Carry On . . .

Aren't you assuming that they are his biological kids?

A Darwin Award could still be granted for qualifying activities IMO. There is no requirement that the awardee never had children, as far as I know, as long as further procreation would be impossible.

Kind of a partial cleaning of the pool being better than none, I guess!

Yeah, I'm giving the kids the benefit of doubt...

For the rules, check the "Darwin Awards" website...

Several places. One offered to scratch my Classic and see how I liked it. Similar comments to others. I’m not gonna waste my time quoting them. Mostly passive aggressive keyboard commandos but ya can’t be too careful.

Thought for the day. Would you deface public property? Do you throw trash out the window of your car? Do you pick up trash around a can or leave it for the paid help? Are you part of the solution or part of the problem?

There is a lesson that makes the case that it is important to do a good deed every day. After a while, you open doors for folks and do similar acts by habit. You become a better citizen.

With the exception of political descent, unauthorized defacement of public property is not a lesson that makes anyone a better citizen. Pat

Pat, are you saying that political dissent often descends into threatening words?

"Then sent his 2 teenage boys down to switch plates on their trucks. "

Somebody explain to me what this statement actually means please. For on thing are we to assume the 5 people in the picture came in 2 different trucks for the hike? Yeah, I would be leary of somebody carrying extra plates and switching them in a public parking lot if that is actually the case. Is the implied reason assumed to be to foil the person that was interacting with and who was taking pictures? Or perhaps to fool the BLM if she actually called someone? None of this actually makes a great deal of sense to me yet.

That was not the intent, but understand why you might ask. Pat

Sorry, political dissent does not justify destruction of property.

In cultures that do not allow free speech, there are often very limited ways to express dissent. I would offer the thought that such defacement is not the destruction of property, but rather the improvement of it.

But feel free to dissent. Pat

This discussion is not about "other cultures". It's about OUR culture and the idiots who deliberately defaced it, Ryan Andersen and Mrs Ryan Andersen.
(Lets please stay on topic so this thread does not drift into insignificance.)

Boxite - you are correct. The thread is not about political dissent either. My original post was not clear and the spelling sucked too. I appologize for that.

The Website product information says "Made from patented recycled materials, the Camper Leveler from Andersen Hitches is built tough and built to last."

Recycled material seems to be valuable in the brochure. Too bad Mr Defacer2018 does not have similar respect for the arch. Pat

I'll stay with my usual natural product, 2 x 6 Douglas fir job site remnants.
No silly colored plastic under my trailer parked in the wild.
