New Airstream Dealership
Heard thru the grape vine yesterday that there is going to be new full service Airstream dealership in Florida. It is to be Dixie RV in Defuniak Springs, Florida.

I know. I am a bit surprised at the location. It is less than 3 hours from Dixie's new dealership to Foley RV in Gulfport, Ms. It seems a city the size of Atlanta could support an Airstream dealership. The Dixie RV in Hammond, LA has a somewhat negative reputation for their service department. Before hearing of this I did not even know they had a dealership in Florida.

I stopped in there (Dixie RV in DuFuniak) about two months ago before they got any Airstream inventory. It is a pretty good size operation. They left me a message today saying that they now have new Airstreams. Too late, just bought ours from Colonial (NJ).

I was wondering about that. Planed to give them a call today to see if they were getting new trailers in.

It is sad that AS does not have a dealer in the Atlanta area. They use to have Camping World in Oakwood, GA but I understand that AS took it away from them some years ago which I can understand. There are some good RV dealers in the metro area and it would certainly be more convenient if AS could work out something with one of them.
I bought mine from J D Sanders in Alachua, FL and think they are excellent but not just close to where we live.
