Would be interesting to know if it really was done, that is an AS towed by a guy on a bike. Yes, I know the famous AS photo of the 40's, and that was real. The AS shown is a biggie, and would have a tongue weight of 600 # or more. When you see the hitch up, there is nothing but a long pipe to the trailer. The front above the window has a photoshoped patch, I expect there were WBCCI numbers there.

I would guess the entire thing is a fabrication.

Airstreams PR department must really be work over time. Airstreams are showing up in more and more commercials, movies and TV shows.

I am thinking that

It should have been a bike commercial. I would love to have a bike that could tow an Airstream. I bet that I'm not the only one

It's the legs, not the bike :-)

Absolutely fabricated. 1. You never see the entire trailer at once. 2. The trailer is moving steadily despite the fact that the cyclist is not.

Also, the picture from the '40s (I have one framed on my wall in our living room) was done on level ground, not climbing a hill...

Still, it's a funny commercial.

They did a better job than the Viagra commercial with the sailboat. If you look carefully on that one, you can see a tow rope pulling on the bow.
