AS on Chevy Truck Website

I ran across this photo of an Airstream hooked to a Silverado 1500 on the GM website. GM must think an AS makes their trucks look good.

For some reason I associate Ford with Airstream. Not sure where that comes from....

If the marketing people from Airstream worked out a deal for the placement of a trailer in a GM ad to try to increase sales, that's a pretty smart move...

I saw that and it looks good! Smart move for GM and Airstream.

Why would you want to tow anything else?

we know Airstream is lightweight and easy to pull. So logically, this is the only thing they can show behind a Chevrolet (besides maybe a car-dolly)
In a Ford Ad you would see a heavy equipment trailer with a Backhoe

An airstream always looks good behind a silver colored tow vehicle. I think that Chevrolet is on-target with this photo ad. It makes you think about escaping the daily grind and seeing the country in a brand new Chevrolet pick-up with a brand new shinny Airstream hooked to the back. Is that a great day dream, or what???

On this note, I sure do miss the look of our Daisy ('04 Silver Suburban), hooked up to Lucy ready to hit the road. Despite the brand, a solver tow vehicle completes the look of an Airstream.

Pic looks great! I knew when I bought my truck last year it had to be silver.

One thing it does point out, is shooting the rig from that angle with a relatively wide angle lens makes the truck tend to look low in the back, and the front of the truck big and prominent. I'll bet that rig when viewed from the side is nice and level.

Recall

Major recall on GM products today.
Seems to be steering gear related.
