Airstream through the Years

I ran across this digital photo retrospective by the famed Darryl Bernstein Studios featuring Airstream through the years. The Airstream was provided by Tammy Reid of Airstream of Spokane.

The article provides the background behind the photo shoots featuring a 1953 Airstream Globetrotter from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's. A video team captured elements of each still digital photo shoot. The article shows the behind the scenes shooting of the themed images. Then the Airstream was digitally inserted into each of the decades shoots and the results are seen at the end of the video.

I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did. Be sure to watch it all the way to the end so you can see the results of all the individual scenes. It's just great.

He was just one of the photographers assigned to incorporate Airstreams in a shoot. Here they all are.

Thanks! Great images.

I love the Gorillas. It really captures the spirit of Monkeying around. All the others are great too. I wish they displayed all the photos from all the photographers, though instead of only a selection from each.

I Like It...

and I think it's very interesting the backdrop can be digitally inserted. Do you sometimes wonder if anything is real? Makes me think of the 1998 movie with Jim Carrey - The Truman Show.

I would like to see the same 50s, 60s, 70s... done with Airstreams of the same period.

Timeless Airstreams

I think the fact that they can use a single 1953 Airstream in all these photos illustrates very well the timeless nature of the Airstream design concept. Thank you again, Wally for the legacy you have created.

This was some great photography. I loved the stills with the quotes from Wally.
