Airstream on Ikea.com
Check out Ikea's site - I went there yesterday to look up an item, and found an Airstream instead. Clicking on the photo will take you to another screen where you can view the commercial. I haven't seen this ad on tv yet - has anyone?

We saw the ad a couple of days ago, very high quality production, anybody out there going to claim the honors on the Airstream.

I've seen the ad quite a few times on the Weather Channel and CNN.

We have seen it a number of times. Seems like an older (60's) Bambi. I spotted it right away. Always looking for airstreams!

Door-in-a-door ended in '61? Window and door arrangement looks close to a 1960 Flying Cloud. I'm not so sure about the marker lights...

I, too, have seen the add many times. The first time my 7 year old saw it he yelled, "Airstream!" I thought it was too short for a Flying Cloud when I saw the ad; I thought at first it was a Caravel but see by the photo that it is just distorted in the ad. Maybe it is a FC.

We've seen it run quite a few times here in the Philly area. By the way CanoeStream, I think you can up the year for the door in the door to 1962. We have it on our Bambi.

Door in door?
Door in door went to at least 63, as a friend of ours has one on his 63 Trade Wind. Also, looks like a 58/59 Flying Cloud to me.... notice - it's a VINTAGE, not a new one!!
Love that door in a door look!!!!! Too bad the new Airstreams don't have that cool factor - just kidding everyone

I have to agree with you on the door in door looking great! Even though my husband and I have a 2006 now that is 100% useable, I sure miss our 1956....at least how pretty she was.

Why sure thing George! R.J. Dial's vintageairstream.com photo archives has two '62 Bambis mixed onto his one page -- one with and one without. I think that was his older format and I got fooled on the obvious door-without-a-door version. George, I'll bet he'd accept the offer for you to share some pics!

I had not seen it yet, what a nice ad. Wow that ad just calls me by name, Airstreams, horses, houses, and shopping at Ikea, what more could a girl want??

The ad is running on tv in New England too. We saw it last night. It's cool that the Airstream is featured in the opening segment.

What a neat advt. Ikea really do have some interesting radio adverts and I don't watch TV so seeing this is a treat. I wonder if they use this video overseas. What I really like is that it's the opening scene and it grabs my attention right away.

When I first saw the ad..I was looking at the breed of horses and pondering if that was in ireland(they have such wonderful short knobby horses) when the next scene cut my brain went wait-a-minute! That was a vintage airstream!
Airstreams show up everywhere. You can tell where my brain is.

It is even shown down here in Mississippi. (took me three years to learn how to spell that!)
