Towing Adapter for lights

Can someone tell me where i can get an adapter for a newer truck to hook up to a 74 model i am purchasing? Does anyone have a phtoto of one?

This is my first airstream, so any help is really appreciated, thanks.

If you do not own the Airsteam or have it in your possession yet... ask the current owner to take several digital photos and email it to you. Or at least call you and tell you what the hookup pattern is like.

We have a vintage dingy sailboat and we were able to find a universal adapter for it (1960 vintage) at our local auto store.

The current industry standard is a 7 pin round connector with 6 flat blades plus a center connector. If you have a modern tow vehicle you should have this on it.
Check with the owner of the Airstream and if it has this connector you are home free.

It may have a connector with all round pins as that is the way it would have been from the factory. Most of these have been changed out over the years to the industry standard.
If it has the round pin connector you will have to change it out to the new one. They are available anywhere.
To complicate it more until 82 Airstream did not use the now standard color code.
The new connector will have the connections labeled by COLOR

Here is a list The first color is the AS then the function and then the industry color

RED Left turn/stop RED
GREEN Tail/clearance Green
Brown RT/ stop Brown
BLUE charge line Black
White Ground White
Yellow Brake Blue
Black B.U. Lites Yellow

Italics are the ones that change colors
