It it's a long metal strip that connects the ceiling to the walls. Closes the gap between the two. Looks like it's probably easy to get out. But I don't want to replace it. Just strip off the paint. It would be easier if I could take it down.
I think one or the other panel has come out first. Then the piece in question will come free from the other panel. Sort of a "I" shape that engages the edges of each panel. I think.
The center roof panel needs to be bent down slightly in the middle after removing the lights and a/c shroud. PIA.
The trim strip is a "J" channel. I think its riveted to the ribs.
Might be easier to mask off and paint.
