This outrigger looks a little sketchy to me...

Another great discovery on our new baby-how this thing ever made it here to ND is a mystery to us. We should have been collecting the parts after it flew off the road. I think we need to hire a welder....

That looks more like skeletal remains than an outrigger. The good news is that they are available from any A/S dealer. The price ranges from $12.95 for the step outriggers to $18.95 for the solid versions around the wheelwells. The slotted version sells for $16.95. Try INLAND RV in California.

Outriggers...slightly used

I am not so worried about buying the replacements as I am finding a welder around that is willing to do the work. I knew I should have taken that welding class when I wanted to ten years ago!! I am a little afraid of what the rest of demo will look like.....

I just replaced about 10 of mine in my '76 SOVEREIGN rebuild/rescue. What I opted for was to use 1 1/2"X1 1/2"x1/8" angle and bolt them to the frame & new outriggers. Use grade 8 bolts with nyloc loc washers & nuts. This will eliminate concerns with creating weak spots in the frame by applying more theat to that same area. Plus you can do this yourself. With you floor out(surely this was rotted away as well) you can access these areas. Be sure to use levels, squares and straight edges to align these. You'll also find that on the good ones, that the factoru did a lousey job in aligning all these outriggers. Some are low & some are high. When finished you'll have a straighter body.
